Chris obtained his Masters Degree from East Carolina University in Rehabilitation Counseling and Clinical Substance Abuse Counseling. Chris is a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS), Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
Over the past 10 years of his professional career, Chris has maintained his passion as a licensed substance abuse counselor and A Licensed Professional Counselor. Chris has experienced many facets of this field; which has essentially led him to opening up his own private practice in 2006.
Chris got his start by working in several local mental health centers, juvenile detention centers, youth development centers and a private non-profit organization. Chris has left no stone unturned!
Chris focuses on individuals of all ages struggling with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Anger Management, Conduct Disorders, Depression, and Anxiety related issues. Chris has over 17 years of experience working with adolescents and adults dealing with substance abuse and addiction issues. Chris also has extensive history working with individuals and their families dealing with communication issues, family conflicts, parental limit setting and authority issues. Chris has also served as a team leader with Intensive In-Home services, helping families prevent out-of-home placement for “at risk youth”. Chris works with a variety of service providers, often bringing them together to collaborate and work towards strength based solutions. Chris maintains a direct and open working relationship with community agencies, probation officers, the Department of Social Services, school personnel and medical providers.
Chris accepts Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Medicaid, Health Choice, Aetna, and self pay.
